29 years in medicine. GP Trainer. Practice leader. Currently exploring how AI can support medical education and practice management — and always happy to connect with fellow professionals.

The Four M's

These are the areas where my experience, interests, and ongoing work intersect. They shape how I teach, lead, and think about the future of general practice.

Multimorbidity

Managing patients with multiple long-term conditions — informed by clinical experience and personal insight as someone who lives with chronic illness.

Medical Education

Training GP registrars, mentoring medical students, and exploring how AI can enhance tutorial design and educational resources.

Men's Health

Drawing on my surgical background (MRCSEd) to bring specialist knowledge to general practice consultations.

Management

Applying business thinking to healthcare — leading teams, improving systems, and navigating the complexities of practice partnership.

For Doctors & Trainees

I've been a doctor for 29 years. The nervous house officer, the trainee struggling with exams, the new GP wondering if I was good enough. I remember what it felt like at every stage — and I remember the people who helped me through.

Exploring AI in Medical Education

I'm currently exploring how AI tools can support GP training — particularly in designing tutorials and educational resources. I've been building GPT-based tools to help with tutorial planning, and I'm learning as I go.

It's early days, but I believe AI has real potential to free up time for what matters most: meaningful conversations with trainees.

If you're a trainer, educator, or trainee interested in this space — I'd be happy to hear from you. No formal offerings, just a fellow professional learning in public.

For Leaders & Managers

Being a GP Partner means running a business — not just seeing patients. Since 2015, I've been involved in the leadership side of general practice: leading teams, managing systems, navigating NHS policy, and trying to make things work better for staff and patients alike.
